Agreement

The following sets out the expectations required by all GLOSSNET member school to agree to.

Members should make the education of their pupils their first concern and are accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in the work and conduct of their staff.

Members will support their teachers to have strong subject knowledge, keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date; forge positive professional attitudes; and work with parents in the best interests of pupils.

All GLOSSNET Member School as part of your membership responsibilities should/must want to achieve or receive support to support their teachers to work towards these 10 points standards:

  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities – attending Continuous Professional Development
  • Maintain a healthy professional relational relationship with parents
  • Set yearly targets for themselves and maintain evidence to show they have met those targets
